Students of Welingkar join hands with Swades
Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon, the country’s largest charity event, has announced a first-ever student challenge for their upcoming edition. We are thrilled that the student body of the prestigious Welingkar Institute have come forward and shown their solidarity towards the Swades Foundation and towards the empowerment of Rural India.
They will run for us, on 18th January 2015, to raise awareness and funds for lifting people out of poverty permanently. Having the country’s youth with us, we know that our dream of One India.. an India where the Urban-Rural divide doesn’t exist, is possible and achievable.
The funds raised by you would be used towards following causes
Building 40,000 toilets
Facilitating 45,000 free of cost cataract surgeries
Building 1200 libraries
Be a part of the Swades magic this Marathon and support the spirited students of Welingkar Institute.
