The magic, the wonder and the innocence of a child’s heart are the seeds that will heal the world. But then there are sometimes when these little hearts need to be healed.
In India, more than 2,00,000 children are born with Congenital Heart Defects every year. This life-threatening disease mostly goes unnoticed in its silent symptoms like compromised growth, laziness, breathlessness etc. In rural India, challenges like myths, stigma, poor access to required medical care further delay the diagnosis and treatment of CHD’s. The high cost of treatment and surgeries is not affordable for poor rural community members.
This puts the future of our nation at risk.
Swades Foundation has been supporting rural families in Raigad, Maharashtra with early identification, treatment, and surgeries of these children. Your contribution will ensure that these little hearts continue to beat. Add joy to the lives of many rural children suffering from CHDs.
