Archana Wadhaval, an introvert girl but strong with her aspiration to become a banker. She always performed well in her studies until grade X.
Archana comes from a delightful family, where her father is a farmer who could only support the fundamental needs of family and had already struggled to fund the education of elder boy till grade XII, he is now an electrician.
Affording Archana’s education after grade X became difficult due to financial crunch. She was disheartened to quit education, for her the opportunity to study beyond Class X may be limited, but the desire to learn runs high.
“We don’t have any money for now. Next year if she gets admission in a good college, we’ll send her”, says her father.
Deep down Archana wants people to look up to her, the way they look up to her brother. Her passion for learning gave her a productive result. She was selected by Swades Foundation to support her part fees.
Swades Foundation and Tata trusts along with other strategic partners ensured she was on her way back to school and granted a scholarship for 11th and 12th grade, she is now pursuing commerce from Sabale College, Mangaon at Raigad district.
Her strong attitude and passion to give back to the community made her go an extra mile to connect the community with multiple Government schemes, like grant for sonography of pregnant women, purchase of medicines and its distribution among the community, showing a selfless determination towards the deserving candidate to avail the Panchayat Samiti scholarships, facilitating documentation for senior citizens so they can get their pensions seamlessly.
Her great commitment has made her a ‘Master Trainer’ as she continues to empower more dreams from the community. She will soon walk the path of becoming a banker too.
